Osezua

Biography
While commercial dancehall may have been more marketable entering the 21st century, few reggae artists stayed true to the roots path as did Xcdus Records’ recording star Osezua, whose name means “Blessed.” Born in Mandeville-Manchester, Jamaica, the enlightened singer has delivered four albums that simultaneously taught and relaxed listeners. Some of his earlier works Lessons of Teachings (2002), Lord Anointed (2003), his 2009 release The Reckoning, has brought universal praise, as he has fast developed a fan base in the United States, Canada, Caribbean Islands, Europe, South America, Africa and Asia. “The struggle of a roots man delivering a true Rasta sound in today’s climate of selflessness can be tough sometimes. However, If one sings from his heart and believes that his mission is under divine guidance, he will be successful in his endeavors,” explains Osezua. “I’m often reminded of a song by fellow Rasta Everton Blender who bellows ‘Jah Never Fail I Yet.’ The Creator has called me to this cause and I will deliver.” Osezua believes that life is a mission of completion. To that belief he breaths every breath. The talented musician and a grounded father.. “To some the Creator gives many talents and gifts. A man must not sit on those gifts or God often takes them away. I’m first a servant to the Almighty. The Father says that charity begins at home. That being true, this is how a man must live – – to share God’s gifts with those closest and farthest from him,” said Osezua, in his trademark philosophical delivery. A hard-working artist, Osezua is a constant figure on the concert and summer festival trails. He has share the billed with some of reggae’s biggest names such as Inner Circle, Beres Hammond, Tony Rebel, The Meditations, Junior Marvin, Judy Mowatt, Rita Marley, Everton Blender, The Itals, Yellowman, Burning Spear and the Wailers, among many others.
